Bloody virus!

A week ago, my PC had caught a virus. So I had to reinstall my whole operating system. The problem is that I lost, by cause of  the virus, some of my work. The animation of the stereo I prommised is gone and also my projectfiles. I am glad I had post my renders on my site, else it was all gone, but it is very depressing that al those days of rendering (for the animation) were for nothing.

I have learned a lesson, DO NOT save your files on your c drive!! AND make every time a backup!!

Finally my portfoliosite is online! Ofcourse there are some pages still under construction and some I have to fix, but that will come very soon! Enjoy my site and hopfully also my work!

Cleaning can be handy

When I was cleaning my room I found my older sketches and drawings from a long time ago. Some of them I have scanned in and uploaded to:

Some of these drawings I had made fore research. For example the skulls were a start to model a werewolf in 3D, but I noticed that I had almost no knowledge of the human anatomy, so it stayed by that try.

Also you can find a Christmas card I have made for a Kenya foundation I had support when I was studying at Secondary school. This you can see in the picture in this post.

Just a quick render

A couple of days ago I've modeled my stereo. I did this to improve my "render skills" and to be honest, it's not bad (if I may say so:p).

I'm busy now with making a little animation for it. Just a sort promotion clip or something. It can take a while to render everything out for the animation, so I've decided to show you in advance this render. hope you'll like it.^^

I almost forgot, but I used mental ray as render engine(for the people who wanted to know this).

Rick Mayall

I've made a quick drawing of Rick Mayall. There was no particular reason to do this, I just wanted to drew a portrait and this is the result.

360 productview

For school I had to make something in Adobe Flash. The first thing what came up in my mind, was a 360 productview.

It was something what I wanted to make for a while now, but had not found the time for it yet. My reason to use a 360 productview was to show people my 3d models in 3d. So I've made a viewer for school, what I shall tweak a bit for my portfolio site (because it's at the moment not totally perfect).

Finally get started

I have this blog for a while now, but I had never done something with it. hopefully I will change that for now^^

First of all, I'd like to welcome you on my blog. As you can read in the "About me" on top of this page, I'll use this blog to post my resent work and also projects I'm on. The projects are for now home made (so, no big company stuff). And my work can be various from: drawings to 3D models; digital paintings to web design; animations to scripting; etc.. I shall say that I have a lot of interests. I'm always curious about new technologies and software to improve my work and my skills.
